Bedtime stories from Japan: Back to the mainland. Tris meets a fellow fire-fighter.  This gentleman and his son were sharing the same group sleeping room with us on the all night ferry to the mainland.  You can see our sleeping bags on the floor in the background - this is the usual style of accommodations on ferries for economy class.  This ride wasn’t very busy, but when the rooms are packed it can be quite a free-for-all to get a sleeping spot.
